The indoor street party, organised by Mytime Active at Crofton Halls welcomed 125 people from across the borough. The guests were from local dementia cafes, guests of organisations and carers who work with people who are living with dementia, carers, friends, neighbours, volunteers and some of their members who attend their Dementia Friendly classes.
Everyone enjoyed afternoon tea and entertainment from singer Andy Mace. The wonderful Primetime dancers performed for us and we were delighted to welcome the new Deputy Mayor of Bromley, Councillor Jonathan Andrews and Theresa Andrews serving as Deputy Mayoress.
The event was sponsored by the family of Kev May, Thackray Williams Solicitors, Home Instead, and the Rotary E Club Orpington. Food was prepared by High Elms Golf Course and the whole event ran seamlessly with the help of volunteers from Primetime and The Bromley Dementia Friendly Community. Thanks must also be made to our Primetime member June for all the stunning table decorations. Many thanks to all who helped!
